Bbq / Steamboat Buffets

You are most likely to enjoy going to bbq / steamboat buffets.
The price range is rather decent, from $20 to $30. (Except for Korean ones which are more pricey)

Here are some of the bbq / steamboat buffets I have tried before.
Quite limited as I disliked the smoke flying at me, getting myself smelling
like what I cooked and getting oily/sweaty all over.

Chuan Yi Pin

Located along Bugis, I find that this outlet has quite a limited spread. The only thing that
won other outlets was more choices of ice-cream available.

House of Steamboat

Located along Bugis, it was way lousy beyond my imagination. The food were seriously
limited and some were not fresh. A place I would not want to come back again. More
whines can be found here.

The quality of food was quite good and I would not mind coming back to Bugis. As usual, I started off with the cooked
dishes such as the 'pop-corn-chicken', fried dumplings, etc, while waiting for the two soup to boil (chicken and the 'ma la'
spicy soup). The spiciness was startling and it sets my appetite going. They have bamboo clams, large crabs, etc. As I
did not like peeling shells, I did not really take the crabs and prawns.

Tian Tian Huo Guo

Located along Bugis, this outlet has one of the largest number of seatings available. Its variety of food available was
also quite great. The marinated meats were not too bad and I spammed mainly on its satay, wings, beefs, squids and hot
dogs. I finished off with a single scoop of ice-cream as part of the buffet (only one scoop per person).

Wuhan Steamboat

Located at Clarke Quay Central, this was the 1st bbq / steamboat buffet I ate using conveyor belt (similar to sushi
outlets). Although the steamboat had 3 choices of soup, the essence was not there. Interesting concept, however the
variety was limited and should be further improve. The cooked food such as the sweet and sour pork was not bad as
compared to the rest.

A Thai style steamboat restaurant located at Takashimaya. The dipping sauce was really excellent and it went well with
everything that came out of the 'pot'. Although the variety was not a lot, it was counter-balanced by the freshness of the
ingredients. The link to my post can be found here.

Big Bang Korean Buffet Restaurant

If you like oil/butter-free Bbq and Korean Band music playing on and on, you will enjoy the process. Although not
much variety and space a little cramp at the food section, the ambiance was not too bad. The link to my post can be
found here.

Little Cherry Restaurant

The Bbq/Steamboat is ale carte style and the meats were fresh and well marinated. The steamboat was separated from
the Bbq so that we had a large bbq space to play around with our food. We ended up frying eggs as well as cooking
cze char as above. The link to my post can be found here.

Goki Day Korean BBQ Buffet Restaurant

Korean style Bbq buffet with a selection of other korean food such as fried pancakes, Ginseng porridge and Korean
sushi rolls. Tons of lettuce for you to wrap your Bbq meat in!

Suki-Ya

Just go for their thinly sliced beef, pork and chicken as the other ingredients were nothing to rave about. Tried the
kimchi and miso soup and be careful of the sharp edges below the table of Plaza Singapura's outlet. (Got a cut on my
leg!) Long queue and prepare to wait...
